I feel like starting a blog called “The slow crumble of a dying Empire: an eye-witness account”

I’m living in the midst of a country self-disintegrating and a political system that is imploding on itself.  We have an almost completely dysfunctional government that extends all the way up to the leadership (Pres. Obama) of this country.  I’m not blaming individuals, I just think that we are living in the midst of sweeping historical change; on the eve of a great moment in world history, that inevitable period where an empire ceases to be an empire.  When it forgets its responsibilities and the sheer power and influence of its policies.  When it becomes so narrow-minded that it allows the most important parts of its identity that constitutes it very essence to simply vanish into thin air.  When the power of selfish individuals takes precedence over the very values we were once founded on.  The American dream is on its deathbed, and rather than reviving it, we have a group of politicians in power who seem intent on killing it once and for all.  With the death of our dream, comes the death of our essence, and the inevitable death of an empire.

It’s true, every Rome must fall…  And we are the witnesses
